Fifty shades of red in Salem, MA

Coming from California, my definition of autumn typically meant two weeks of yellowing leaves before barren trees decorated the suburbs of Silicon Valley.  So, you can imagine my surprise when I experienced my first Boston fall last year.  Seriously, I turn into the definition of #basic when the temperatures dip and those leaves start a-changin'.  

I remember one of my professors from my first semester at BU remarked that she was walking behind two girls that "must have been from California" because they couldn't stop talking about how amazing the changing leaves were.  Pretty sure she was probably walking behind me and just didn't know it because it sounds like she took the words right out of my mouth. 

But really, just look at the picture below and tell me I'm not alone in my love for foliage.  It's not just me, right?
